The Brisbane Bandits are proud to announce David Nilsson as the Director of Baseball Operations.
This role will continue his work with Queensland High Performance athletes both veteran and developing players in the system.

Entering into his 5th year as Head Coach with the Bandits, Nilsson is well placed to deliver yet another strong year with the Team.

"It's a no brainer, he's done amazing things here in Brisbane and I'm excited now as the Principal Owner to sign that contract with David and keep him at helm of the Bandits Juggernaut" said CEO Mark Ready.

David's accolades speak for themselves after a star studded playing career to now exceed that with his coaching career.
"To be able to say you topped the playing career he's had with the coaching career he's embarked on is simply amazing. He's changed the Bandits and he's about to change the nation." said Bandits International Director and Nilsson's Assistant Coach Adrian Lamb.

Coming off the back of the historic Beli3ve campaign victorious with three consecutive national championships under his belt Nilsson said, "it's just another year in the trenches with the team, we go into each year refreshed and renewed ready to reach new milestones. This year we will also be increasing our reach to include the women's program in everything we do. It's time to knock down the walls."

With just over 120 days till the season starts the Bandits are ready for the challenge.

Bandits General Manager Paul Gonzalez says "This just solidifies the leadership team for the players and sets the Bandits up for more success on field. David has made an enormous contribution to baseball in general and his impact on the Bandits speaks for itself. "

Nilsson has signed a multi year deal with the Bandits to Head the franchise and defend Brisbane's grip on the Claxton Shield.
