They are two of the Australian Baseball League's most exciting young talents - but now Perth Heat stars Jess Williams and Alex Hall have their eyes on the US after signing professional contracts with the Milwaukee Brewers.

The pair join a long list of WA products to sign with an MLB team after penning a deal with the National League Central Division outfit.

"To finally reach my goal of signing a contract with a team in the States is great. It's something I've always worked towards," Williams said.

An 18-year-old shortstop, Williams has made a fast start to the 2017-18 ABL season hitting .262 with four RBIs.

Hall, also 18, has seen time as a catcher, designated hitter and outfielder while battling for playing time with new arrival Zac Law.

"It's a dream come true to sign. It all happened pretty quickly so I'm keen to head over there and get started," he said.

Having played together for Team Australia at the under-18 World Cup in Canada earlier in the year, the Morley duo will again be teammates in the US.

"You could call him my best mate - and he'll probably be my roommate as well so I'm looking forward to it," Hall said.

The pair will be in action this weekend as the top-of-the-table Heat take on the last placed Adelaide Bite in a four-game series at the Perth Harley-Davidson Ballpark starting Friday.
