The Jet Couriers Melbourne Aces sadly bid Jackson Brett bon voyage this week, as he finishes up his role as Baseball Operations Coordinator.
Jackson has been a dedicated staff member over two tours with the club, firstly commencing an internship placement in 2015 where he honed his skills and progressed into his current role in February 2016.
After completing a World Series campaign with the Kansas City Royals, Jackson left his familiar role in clubhouse operations to take on a new challenge in the Australian Baseball League.
Since his appointment Jackson has been charged with overseeing essential functions of the franchise such as recruitment and selection, payroll, contracting, travel and logistics, uniform and stock management, game day operations, sales and sponsor servicing. From making sure Mark Hamburger has the right size undershirt, to selling playoff tickets, Jackson has been on the front line over the last 18 months.
"Jackson has been a valued member of our team, who has shown great dedication to his role" says General Manger Justin Huber.
"We wish Jackson all the very best in his future endeavours, and thank him for all his hard work".
The Melbourne Aces wish Jackson every success and look forward to seeing his smiling face around Melbourne Ballpark again this summer, as we cheer on a new and exciting 2017/18 campaign.
