Tyler Collins hit home runs in both games of the FSL Northern Division Chapionship Series 

Sydney Blue Sox and Lakeland Flying Tigers outfielder Tyler Collins made it home runs in back-to-back games of the Florida State League playoffs as Lakeland booked a spot in the FSL Championship Series. Collins solo shot in the 9th added the insurance run in Lakeland's 3-0 victory over the Dunedin Blue Jays to sweep the series 2 games to 0. Tyler and the Flying Tigers will now wait to face the winner of the Jupiter Hammerheads and St. Lucie Mets.

In the Pacific Coast League playoffs, Trent Oeltjen and the Albuquerque Isotopes lost game 1 to the Omaha Storm Chasers by a score of 8-4. Trent went 1-4 with a pair of strikeouts in the loss.

Rich Thompson pitched 2 scoreless inning in relief in the Sacramento River Cats 3-1 loss to the Reno Aces. Rich allowed just 1 hit and picked up a strike out in a strong outing.

The Ashville Tourists also lost their series opener to the Rome Braves 5-3. Blue Sox outfielder David Kandilas was not in the lineup, but will be looking to even the series when the South Atlantic League Division Series gets back into action on Friday.
